Our main meetings are Sunday mornings. Fellowship and greeting time is at 10:00 a.m., and worship service starts at about 10:15.
We are meeting in a new facility -- the Lord has provided! See the Directions page for info.
Call or e-mail Jay for the address and directions: (281) 787-2827
Here are the challenges:
1. Memorize key passages (your choices) in the book of Romans.
2. Read the entire book once.
(Then again later, but we all start with once!)
3. Make an outline of the book of Romans.
More details for each challenge are below. God bless!
==== Memorize the key passages in Romans - I suppose my "level 1" would include: Romans 3:23; 5:1; 5:8; 6:23; 8:1; 8:28; 10:9-10; and 12:1-2. For "level 2" you might choose from 1:16-17; 1:18-20; 3:21-25; 5:1-5; 6:1-4; 7:18-25; anything in chapter 8, 10:9-17; 11:33-36; anything in chapter 12; 13:1-2; 13:8-10; 15:1-7; and finally, 16:25-27.
Of course ultimately, it's all your choice! The important thing is to set a goal or goals, for you and/or your family and keep working at it. (I realize there are certainly other passages that could have been included here…if you have other suggestions, feel free to send them to HBFtalk@yahoogroups .com.)
Read the entire book This is self-explanatory, but please remember the importance of receiving God's word in the format He's given: whole books. Make an outline of the book It can be as brief or as complex as you wish, but as they say, just do it! Give each major section a title, and write down the key points (perhaps using a word processor?!? ). Part of the thinking here builds on the fact that the Lord has given us His revelation in these literary packages we call books. They were written for a reason, structured as they are for a reason. Most of the time we don't grasp a Bible book's big picture. Shouldn't we? Your outline will help you and bless you, I promise.
