As a shepherd of HBF, Randy has a passion for Jesus Christ to be magnified greatly in the lives of those who have personally placed their faith and trust in Him. Randy has a vision for entire families to worship our risen Savior together. He wants to encourage fathers to minister within their homes and lead their families in ministering in their communities. Randy comes from a heritage of Bible-based training through believing parents and a nurturing church that held to core Biblical doctrines. Randy, along with his wife Andrea, had the privilege of serving with New Tribes Mission in West Africa with the purpose of establishing a growing church in a tribal group. Through such experiences in foreign and domestic ministries, Randy has seen God’s hand preparing him for his current role of service as a shepherd at HBF. God has brought Randy to the point where his relationship with Christ is the core of his life. As we consider Christ’s relationship to the Father and the Holy Spirit, we begin to understand the closeness of relationship God desires for each of us to have with Him. Randy’s prayer is that each of you would ask yourself about your relationship with Christ. Do you have one? If so, then is Christ the center of your life? If not, then what is hindering you?

Drew Starnes is the worship leader at Hempstead Bible Fellowship. He and Sarah were married in 1998. Drew often tells others, truthfully, that he married up in the world when he married Sarah. Drew and Sarah currently have five children with one “in the oven”. Their children range in ages from one to seven.
Drew never saw himself as the person to lead worship in a church. He learned to play guitar while in college, but had set it aside as his family grew. When HBF was in its infancy, the question arose as to who would lead worship, and Drew’s lovely wife volunteered him. He dusted off his guitar and he has been enjoying it ever since.
Drew’s desire is not to entertain, but to truly lead people in worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus in Spirit and in Truth. He chooses the music each week with that in mind, and not by what year the songs were written. Recently Drew mentioned to one of the elders that he believes the style of music at HBF is a non-issue. He is thankful he has not received any complaints about the style of worship, not because of any talent of his own, but because people who come truly desire to worship Jesus, no matter whether it be an old beloved hymn or a newer praise song; they simply seek to worship His Name.
Jay Anderson is the teaching elder at Hempstead Bible Fellowship. He and his wife Juli have been married since 1992, and they have six children, ranging in age from one month to thirteen years.
Jay studied Bible, theology, and ministry at Dallas Theological Seminary, where he earned a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies. He then served as a youth minister for thirteen years before coming to serve as pastor/teaching elder at HBF.
Jay’s passion is to see people’s lives changed and strengthened through their interaction with God’s Word, so that they find freedom through the Lord Jesus Christ, becoming worshippers of His majesty and ambassadors for Him.

Tom McMinn has been married to his wife Dianne for 36 years. They have four married daughters, two teenage sons and a 12 year old daughter at home, and 17 grandchildren.
Tom and Dianne both became believers in the Lord Jesus Christ in their teens and have purposed to give their lives over to the guidance and leading of the Holy Spirit.
The McMinns followed God’s direction to begin homeschooling their children in 1984 and have continued in that conviction to the present. They have been leaders in the Christian homeschool movement on a local and state level and have spoken on various subjects relevant to new and experienced Christian homeschoolers.
Tom has been in leadership positions in various bible and Baptist Churches over the past 25 years; he has attended the College of Biblical Studies and is currently enrolled in Dallas Theological Seminary as a part time student in the Master of Arts in Biblical Studies program.
After becoming increasingly aware that most churches today were unwittingly working against the parents in their efforts to lead their families in biblical holiness, Tom was one several men who were given a vision to start a “Family-Integrated, Interdenominational, Bible-Believing Church” in the Northwest Houston area. Tom and Dianne are committed to building up the local church to be an equipper, encourager, and teacher of families, in order to prepare the fathers and mothers to lead and direct their children in biblical holiness.
